Shawwal Fasting Timetable Bangalore 1447H 2026 | Sehri & Iftar

Shawwal 1447H 2026 Fasting Timetable (Sehri & Iftar) – Bangalore

Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal will have the reward of fasting the entire year. This is an authentic Sunnah established in Sahih Muslim. The timetable below provides accurate Sehri and Iftar timings for Bangalore to help you implement this practice consistently.

After Ramadan, many believers lose momentum. The discipline fades, the connection weakens, and the opportunity for multiplied reward slips away. Yet the Prophet ﷺ gave a simple continuation path. Six fasts in Shawwal equal a full year of reward. The solution is structured adherence using a clear timetable.

Virtue of Shawwal Fasting

“Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted the entire year.”

Source: Sahih Muslim 1164. This ruling is based on explicit textual evidence. Scholars such as Ibn Baz and Al-Albani affirmed its authenticity and virtue.

How to Observe Six Fasts

  • Can be consecutive or spaced across Shawwal
  • Must be after completing Ramadan fasts
  • Intention (niyyah) required before Fajr
  • Prioritize missed Ramadan fasts first if obligatory

Scholarly Position: Majority of scholars permit flexibility in spacing. Stronger view allows non-consecutive fasting as long as six are completed within Shawwal.

Common Mistakes

  • Delaying until end of Shawwal and missing days
  • Ignoring missed Ramadan fasts
  • Treating it as cultural rather than Sunnah
  • Lack of structured timing adherence

“Small consistent deeds are more beloved to Allah than large inconsistent ones.”

FAQ

Can I fast six days before making up missed fasts?

Stronger scholarly view prioritizes making up obligatory fasts first. Voluntary fasts come after fulfilling obligations.

Do the six days need to be consecutive?

No. There is no authentic evidence requiring consecutiveness. Flexibility is permitted.

Is the reward exactly equal to a full year?

Yes. Based on the hadith and the principle that each good deed is multiplied ten times.
